Dombivli :- A historic alliance of 14 Rotary Clubs of Dombivli, 2 Rotaract Clubs under Rotary District 3142, and partner organisation Girimitra Pratishthan successfully organised a mega blood donation drive at Rotary Midtown Health Center, Ground Floor, Building No. 5, BSPU Building, Shelar Naka, Dombivli East, on Wednesday, 1st July 2026, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The drive saw an overwhelming response with over 180 well-wishers and donors in attendance, resulting in the collection of 96 units of blood. All donors were provided free refreshments and official donor certificates in appreciation of their contribution.
The 14 participating Rotary Clubs were: RC Dombivli Midtown, RC Dombivli, RC Dombivli Ind Area, RC Dombivli Downtown, RC Dombivli North, RC Dombivli Diamond, RC Dombivli City, RC Dombivli Winners, RC Dombivli Saudamini, RC Dombivli Uptown, RC Dombivli Phoenix, RC Dombivli Palava, RC Dombivli Regency, and RC New Dombivli. The two Rotaract Clubs — Rotaract Club of Dombivli and Rotaract Club of Dombivli Downtown — also played an active role in the initiative.
Organisers stated, "Hospitals need blood every single second, and a single donation can save up to three lives." The success of this drive reaffirmed the strength of collective action between Rotary, Rotaract, and community organisations in building a healthier tomorrow.
