ROTARY CLUB OF DOMBIVLI WINNERS INSTALLS NEW PRESIDENT

Dombivli : On July 12, 2025, the Rotary Club of Dombivli Winners held its President Installation ceremony at KAMA Hall in MIDC, Dombivli. The event, which began with a wonderful breakfast, took place in the morning and was graced by the presence of esteemed District Governor, Rtn. Harsh Makol, who served as the Chief Guest.

 

The ceremony was well-organized, with Assistant Governor Rtn. Bijoy Oommen and Governors Group Representative Rtn. Madhav Singh in attendance. General Secretary Rtn. Srijeet Poothen, along with fellow Rotarians Rtn. Pramod Mishra, Rtn. Vinesh Nair, Rtn. Bhujang Bhandari, Rtn. Prakash Shah, Rtn. Nikhil Dhoot, Rtn. Aarti Dhoot, Rtn. Mandar Soman, Rtn. Madhav Chikodi and Rtn. Santosh Namboodri, played key roles in ensuring the event's success.

 

The Master of Ceremonies, Rtn. Amod Khare, a professional anchor, ably conducted the proceedings. In a highlight of the event, the Past President presented a comprehensive Audio-Visual presentation showcasing the club's achievements over the past year. Notably, the club successfully achieved all 19 goals set at the beginning of the year, a testament to the team's dedication and hard work.

 

The newly installed President, Rtn. Bobby Pinto, delivered an inspiring acceptance speech, appealing to all members to work together hand in hand. He expressed appreciation for the members' enthusiasm and commitment to social causes. President Pinto emphasized the importance of good fellowship within the club, stressing that activities should be organized to foster strong bonding among members. He envisioned a club where members become good friends, working together towards a common goal. To achieve this, he suggested that each of the club's 40-45 members take ownership of a project and act as project heads. He revealed that the club has already identified 32 projects, which were proposed by all the members of the club then discussed in a meeting held on July 8, 2025

 

District Governor Rtn. Harsh Makol delivered a short and crisp speech, appreciating President Bobby Pinto for his plans for the coming year. He congratulated the club on having a good team of members and wished them success. DG Makol humorously remarked that "Rotary is a hobby, and hobbies are expensive," adding a light-hearted touch to the proceedings. He also gave President Bobby Pinto a new nickname, "Robinhood," saying "Let him become the Robinhood of this club." DG Makol extended his appreciation to Josephine Pinto, the First Lady, for gifting hand-woven crochet roses to all the dignitaries, guests, and friends in attendance. He also appreciated Clifford and Samuel, their sons, for being present. DG Makol concluded by assuring the club of his support, stating that he would always be ready to lend a helping hand whenever needed.

 

Special mention was made of the efforts put in by Past President Rtn. Nilesh Sonawane and Immediate Past President Rtn. Kishor Mulay, who worked tirelessly to make the event a success. Rtn. Mangala Ghaiwat and Rtn. Mahesh Zope did an excellent job at the registration counter, ensuring a smooth experience for all attendees. Rtn. Prashant Damle, Rtn. Prashant Bapat, and Rtn. Rajendra Vakhare played crucial roles in the event's organization and also managed the Facebook live coverage of the ceremony. Treasurer Rtn. Rajesh Bhave also played a key role, taking full charge of arranging the main dais, ensuring everything was perfectly in place.

 

Membership Director Rtn. Siddhi Pendharkar expressed her commitment to growing the club's membership strength by 50% this year. TRF Director Rtn. Harish Poojary committed $4400 and aimed to make the club an EREY (Every Rotarian Every Year) club, underscoring his dedication to the Rotary Foundation.

 

The secretarial announcements were ably handled by Rtn. Ujwal Thombre, who also delivered the vote of thanks. President Bobby Pinto adjourned the meeting, which was followed by a group photo session with district dignitaries, co-presidents, and family and friends. The event concluded with a delicious lunch for all attendees.

 

With its diverse membership and array of projects, the Rotary Club of Dombivli Winners is well-equipped to make a positive difference in the lives of those it touches under the leadership of President Bobby Pinto.
